Following the balloon-filled Jubilee of Colour anniversary celebrations, Habbo Hotel: Origins has officially kicked off a brand-new campaign. Dust off your boots and get ready for two weeks dominated by football fever! Alongside new football furni in the catalogue, the game has officially launched a brand-new activity track to test and reward your skills: 'The Hotel Kickabout'! In this guide, I will walk you through the challenges and rewards to make the most of this event, which ends on July 19th.

Navigating the Activity Track

The activity track for 'The Hotel Kickabout' event can be accessed straight from your avatar menu. To get there, enter any room in the hotel and find your Habbo's head in the bottom-left of the game window. After clicking it to open the avatar menu, a brand-new 'Activity Track' button shows up to take you to this limited-time event. Clicking it allows you to open the Activity Track at any time, and in any room.

This button is only active for the duration of The Hotel Kickabout Activity Tracker. After the activity ends, this button will dissapear with it.

Earning Points and Claiming Rewards

Upon opening the Activity Track, the most eye-catching part is this section at the very top. Through the Hotel Kickabout event, you will earn points by completing various challenges and minigames, both by yourself and by teaming up with other Habbo's. Every point you earn helps you advance through the reward track, with new rewards unlocking at every milestone.

Once you have earned enough points to unlock the next reward, all that's left to do is to click the reward to claim it! Earned furni is sent straight to your hand, and any stamps and credits will be waiting for you in your Habbo Purse.

The standard reward track includes collectible stamps and items from the brand-new football furni range. If you upgrade to the Collectors Track by paying a one-time fee of 100 Credits, you'll also unlock an exclusive Golden Football Trophy at the very end!

Explore New Football Challenges

This section of the Activity Track displays the various challenges available to earn points. Each of them requires you to complete a different set of tasks related to Football activities in the hotel, such as scoring goals or winning the brand-new Penalty Shootout minigame. 

Each task displays a progress bar towards reaching the next goal, and clicking it will reveal more information on the bottom-right of the activity track. Every challenge is explained in detail further down this guide, so keep reading!

New Time-Gated Tasks

To keep the tournament intense, tasks in 'The Hotel Kickabout' are time-gated. Instead of rushing through the whole track at once, one brand-new challenge will unlock each day of the campaign. You will need to log in daily, complete the latest training drills, and consistently pick up points to keep pace with the rest of the hotel. If you so happen to miss a day or two, you are still given the opportunity to catch up on any challenges you missed on previous days. But it's clear The Hotel Kickabout is not the time to snooze!

Each challenge level displays the progress towards completing it, accompanied by the number of points that will be rewarded upon its completion. Challenge levels that are currently locked can not be progressed towards, and will unlock at a later date. At the time of writing, there is no explanation or further information available as to which challenge levels unlock on which days. Simply check back in to see what new challenge is waiting on you that day!

Collector's Track: Unlock Premium Rewards

In addition to the free reward track, which includes collectible stamps and items from the brand-new football furni range, the Activity Track brings a set of premium rewards as well. If you upgrade to the Collectors Track by paying a one-time fee of 100 Credits, you'll also unlock an exclusive Golden Football Trophy at the very end! After purchasing the Collectors Track, you will be given a 26% bonus on all earned Points too. Therefor, it is advised to purchase the Collectors Track as early as you can to earn the most bonus points!

Overview of all Activity Track Tasks

There are a total of 7 different tasks to complete, each offering 4 levels of difficulty. While some of the challenges are easy to pick up and master, others come with a steeper learning curve.

Task: 'Kick the Ball'

This is by far the easiest task of them all, simply requiring you to find a 'Game Ball' somewhere in the Hotel and give it a kick. Each kick will increment the task counter by 1, slowly earning progress towards completing the challenge levels.

• Level 1 - 100 Kicks (+10 Points)
• Level 2 - 500 Kicks (+15 Points)
• Level 3 - 1500 Kicks (+20 Points)
• Level 4 - Currently Locked

Task: 'Score Goals'

Football wouldn't be as fun of game without a key component: the goal. After you have mastered kicking the ball for the previous task, this challenge requires you to find a goal to kick the ball into. There's no need to channel your inner Lionel Messi just yet, as all you need to do to score these points is to simply kick the ball into the goal from any convenient distance.

• Level 1 - 10 Goals (+30 Points)
• Level 2 - 40 Goals (+40 Points)
• Level 3 - 100 Goals (+50 Points)
• Level 4 - Currently Locked

Task: 'Score long-range goals'

This is where your experience in the previous two challenges are combined to truly test your skills. In order to score long-range goals, the ball must be shot from 6 tiles before landing into a goal. Make sure the ball reaches the goal in just one kick, as any contact with the ball by any player will void the progress towards this challenge.

• Level 1 - 3 Goals (+40 Points)
• Level 2 - 10 Goals (+60 Points)
• Level 3 - 25 Goals (+90 Points)
• Level 4 - Currently Locked

Task: 'Score bank-shot goals'

Did you know Footballs can be shot diagonally too? Give it a try! The key to this task is to bounce the ball on another piece of furni before it reaches the goal. Much like the previous challenge, this will require you to shoot the ball from a greater distance. The easiest method to complete this task is to place a goal near the edge of your room and shoot the ball towards the wall, or by strategically placing furni to have the ball bounce into the goal. This task takes a bit of practice to get right, but one you've mastered it you will quickly earn large amounts of points!

• Level 1 - 2 Goals (+45 Points)
• Level 2 - 8 Goals (+65 Points)
• Level 3 - 20 Goals (+95 Points)
• Level 4 - Currently Locked

Task: 'Do keepie-uppies'

This task is straightforward, but might be difficult to pick up without some preparations. In order to perform keepie-uppies on Habbo, one must stand on the same tile as a football and double-click it. In order to prevent the ball from rolling away, one should surround the ball with chairs or doormats to lock it in place! Then, simply click away and watch the tracker increase!

• Level 1 - 3 Kicks (+35 Points)
• Level 2 - 10 Kicks (+55 Points)
• Level 3 - Currently Locked
• Level 4 - Currently Locked

Task: 'Score team goals'

This task proves tricky for even the most experienced football players in the hotel. It requires you to pair up with a friend and work together to score a team goal. A regular goal counts as a 'team goal' when more than one Habbo has kicked the ball before it makes it into the goal. That sounds straightforward in theory but proves to be rather difficult, as the ball only tracks which Habbo's have kicked it for as long as it is continuously rolling. The moment the game ball hits another furni or stops rolling for any other reason, it will forget which Habbo's have interacted with the ball.

This challenge is easiest to complete on a larger football pitch, by lining up your friends and kicking the ball from one player to another. If you are having a hard time completing it on the big field, another way to attempt earning these points is by having another Habbo rapidly click the ball as much as they can right as you kick it into a goal. Keep trying and it will eventually count as a team goal!

• Level 1 - 1 Goal (+75 Points)
• Level 2 - 3 Goals (+100 Points)

Task: 'Win penalty shootouts'

Penalty Shootout is one of the brand-new minigames introduced this month. Start by opening the Games menu by clicking the Joystick icon in the bottom-right toolbar. Proceed to click 'New game' and select the new 'Penalty Shootout' level. Hit 'Ready' and you will find yourself teleporting to the Habbo Stadium!

The goal in this game is to shoot the ball past the keeper and score up to 5 goals. At the time of writing, the game does not provide clear feedback as to when the penalty shootout is 'won', and completing this task can require you to attempt to win the minigame multiple times. Don't give up and you should eventually earn these points!

The Final Whistle

Make sure you don't drop the ball! This event won't run all summer - the final whistle blows and the event officially ends on July 19th, perfectly coinciding with the day of the World Cup finale. You have until then to complete your daily drills, maximize your points, and secure your final trophies.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work!

In true Habbo Hotel tradition, builders have started opening rooms tailored to helping you achieve your daily tasks. My Football Boosters room is your one-stop shop to complete your daily football drills and find teammates to play the new minigames with. This room will stay open until the very end of The Hotel Kickabout Activity Track, removing any and all excuses you might have to not earn all the rewards.
