Master the Pitch: The Habbo Football Guide

With Spidercides' big tournament Origins Football Cup drawing closer (make sure you sign up, the deadline to do so is imminent!), it’s time to get your tactics sorted and your boots laced. We’ve noticed a few Habbos in user: Wsly's Football Boosters room looking a bit lost on the pitch, so ahead of the most important matches in Habbo Origins history, we thought we'd try to get everyone playing like pros!

To make sure your team is successful, we’ve put together a quick, handy guide on how to actually control the ball and dominate the pitch. Master these three core mechanics, and you’ll be scoring in no time.

1. The "Dribble"

Want to make a run down the pitch? Keeping the ball close is easy once you know the rhythm.

How to do it: Simply click a tile just ahead of the ball.

The Result: The ball will automatically move forward, perfectly following your Habbo as you run.

2. The "Kick"

Ready to pick out a teammate or smash it into the back of the net? You need a clean strike.

How to do it: Click directly onto the tile that the ball is currently sitting on.

The Result: The ball will shoot forward in the exact direction your Habbo is facing. This last part is important; if you're facing diagonally, as shown in the second gif above, the ball will also be kicked diagonally.

3. The "Backward Kick"

This is the ultimate trick play to catch goalkeepers off guard.

How to do it: If the ball is sitting directly on your Habbo's tile, simply walk in your desired direction.

The Result: The ball will launch in the opposite direction to where your Habbo is facing, giving you the perfect unexpected shot.

Get down to a training ground, practice these moves with your team, and let's see who has what it takes to win it all.

Practice makes perfect. See you on the pitch!
