Welcome back to The Furni Files, the ultimate cross-examination of the pixels we love to hoard. This week, we are speaking with Bab, a true connoisseur of the Origins aesthetic, to discover which specific items define her rooms.

In a surprise to no one, Bab's favourite furni isn't a rare but Origins' first ever Funky Friday - the OG FF Plasto Set. Released on June 21st 2024, these items remain highly popular among players. At the height of their popularity, it wasn't uncommon for them to be traded for many a Club Sofa or Dragon Egg. Today? They're still one of the Funky Friday collections that has retained value and still to this day are highly sought after, though very hard to find (unless you visit Bab's rooms, of course). 

Let's find out the why and the how Bab loves these recolours of one of Habbo's most iconic furni lines:

What's your favourite furni in Habbo Origins?
The original Funky Friday plasto. Any of the 5 colours, they are all perfect together.

If Funky Friday Plasto was deleted from the game tomorrow, what would your grieving process look like?
I think I would just leave, these are a staple in all of my Bab rooms, all of which look the same but different at the same time. I couldn't possibly be without at this point. To convey my desperation and dedication, I'm the biggest cheapskate on this hotel and even I overpay for these!

What's the origin story of your love for them? 
I have always liked regular plasto furni from the old days but it's not a favourite, I suppose these are a "new item" in a sense. I bought some of each one as they were the first Funky Friday item on the game and kept all of them ever since. I love the warm summer colours along with the deep greens. It makes me think of sunsets over the hills and is far superior to any other plasto there's ever been. Since I use them in all of my rooms I am always looking out for more for my pouch.

If you could scale it up to real life and put it in your real life bedroom, how chaotic or amazing would it be?
They do not fit in any of my bedrooms however my living room is pine needle so perhaps I put some forest or moss green plasto in there!

Does this furni have a specific 'vibe' or memory attached to it?
I would say somewhat rich vibes given how much you scam artists charge me for a single chair on your market stall !!

If the OG plasto could talk, what’s the juiciest piece of Habbo drama or gossip it has witnessed in your rooms?
Probably the time milkmaid-jenny came in and called me a big stupid dummy then denied it and refused to apologise even under duress. As if it is my fault her head is tiny she should not blame me for all of her problems.

You're trapped in a locked room and the 'Hobba assist' button is switched off. As a result you can only bring three plastos. Which pieces of plasto and what colours do you bring?
The forest green square dining table, the sunflower yellow occasional table (1x1), and the bronze gold chair. It's good to have somewhere to sit, and a table to put my typewriter(s) on, and an end table for my Aloe Vera you see. Essentials only!
