The Marketplace & Habloon Update - Origins Trading is back!

Habbo Origins has just rolled out what many Habbos are calling one of the biggest updates yet: the Marketplace - and paired with the recently released Habloon currency, it's completely revitalised the trading scene.

Until now, trading in Habbo Origins has primarily relied on Club Sofas and Dinos as the primary currency and often sees players resort to third party means of finding trade partners, like Discord servers and fansites. But now, with an official Marketplace live in-game, players can browse, buy and sell items more easily than ever before - and the economy is booming. The introducion of the Habloon as a fully tradeable currency has given this mechanic real momentum, enabling a smoother, more accessible way to trade across the hotel.

What this means for players

Before this update, many rares were almost impossible for newer Habbos to acquire - especially without a backfill of desirable items of their own. That's changed.

Thanks to the marketplace:

  • Rare items are more accessible - some are now even selling for less than their original catalogue price, despite plans to never re-release them officially.
  • New players can jump in and start trading immediately, without needing years of stockpiled items.
  • The in-game economy feels vibrant, and more balanced, than it has in a long time.

Take this as an example - the Mars Red Smoke Machine, originally released at 35 credits. And now available for just 10 credits at this marketstall (while stocks last! - other marketplaces are available!)

"It's really something", user bab told bobba.me. "Pink pillows for 30c! Some of these prices are amazing. Especially for me who isn't a trader. Anything for 0c?"

Day One players and newcomers alike are calling it a game-changer. The combination of a proper Marketplace and the Habloon currency hasn't just made trading easier, but fun again too!

The InfoBus Park serves as a trial area for public marketstalls which have been buzzing since launch. Coupled with Private Room stalls - the hotel feels truly alive again with folk looking for the latest deal.

It's not quite "the golden era" of Habbo, but more unique updates like this could definitely be a game changer.
