Origins 09 May 2026 1 54 1
If you logged into Habbo Origins today and thought something felt different ... you weren't imagining it.
Yesterday's client update might genuinely be one of the biggest changes Origins has seen since launch - especially for builders.
While previous updates focused heavily on trading, the Marketplace, Habloons and the wider economy, this update is aimed squarely at creativity. And honestly, folk seem really excited about what's possible.
The headline feature is the brand new Creative Mode alongside an advanced movement tool that completely changes how furni can be placed. Traditional stacking is pretty much optional now.
For years, Habbo building has always been limited by the grid, clever tricks, rollers and painstaking stacking methods. Not to mention Origins signature :stackmode 0 and :stackmode 1 which fundamentaly changed stacking behaviour on the fly. Builders learned to work with the engine and created some incredible master pieces.
It feels like Habbo recognise this creativity - and want to work actively with the builders.
People are already building things in mere minutes that would have taken hours upon hours prior to yesterday. Some of the screenshots appearing across X and Discord already demonstrate the community exploring what's possible.
"Finally more beach" - says user Eugeen, pictured below.

And perhaps the smartest part of this update is that you can experiment with it all for free.
Habbo have introduced a new "Creative" backend that allows players to jump in and build without needing to own mountains of furni and without even spending a dime. It's essentially a sandbox environment - something Origins has desperately needed for newer players and aspiring builders.
New Habbos can sign up today, and immediately have up to 1000 pieces of furni to experiment with - including the newly released functional furni line.
Macklebee explained the thinking behind the update on X, saying:
We've watched folk play Origins on Youtube, through Twitch and the initial question is always 'what now?'
Habbo has always been one of those games where the magic comes from what the community create - but that freedom can feel overwhelming. Especially if you have a vision but don't have the skill or patience to stack it to life. It makes the hotel even more accessible to new players arriving in 2026 with no idea how stacking worked "back in the day".
And speaking of new players, the update introduces a more meaningful tutorial experience and quietly introduces a small quality of life change: when you log back into the hotel, you'll now return directly to the last room you were in.
It sounds small, but it makes the hotel immediately feel modern and connected.
What gets me personally excited about this update isn't the tools themselves - it's what they could unlock for the future of Origins. Habbo has always had incredibly creative players, but many of the best ideas were gated behind wealth, furni collections or years of stacking knowledge.
This feels like a real step towards making creativity the focus. And judging by what people have built in less than 24 hours, we've probably only seen the beginning.

not long got in from work......... the new update is bobba-ing epic! i have hidden treasure behind a whole WALL! THIS IS SO SICK !!!!!!!!
We can't wait to see what everyone starts doing with these tools! Keep your eyes peeled for a deeper dive into the new "Advanced Movement Tool" in the days ahead = we'll dive in deeper and seperate the X from the Ys from the Zs.
Until then - happy building!
