Origins Updates #3 - UPDATED!

Edit Re-edit: This is an edit of an edit. Could we simply create a new article about the latest new feature in this series of features being pumped out at a (pleasantly surprisingly) fast pace. Okay, enough yapping, let's get to the news.

The Bulletin

A new form of communication system in Origins just dropped! Introducing: The Bulletin! The original idea for this feature was conceived by user Dreads and posted in a feedback thread in the official Origins Discord server. The Bulletin displays both the latest Habbo news as well as a calendar for scheduled events: 

The Bulletin pops up automatically every time you log in to the game, but if you need to find it again later on, you can open it via the head menu (lol) in the bottom left corner of your screen, as shown here:

Whenever something new goes live, be that a news article or a new event, you will now receive an in-client notification:

NPC Shops

NPC shops have been added to the game! Several of your favorite public room NPCs have received a new button saying "Open Shop" (shown below) that, when clicked, opens up their shop, with each of them offering a range of different types of furni. 

Here’s a list of the current shops and what’s being sold in them: 

Note: The shops are re-stocked each day; the regular NPC shops have a user-based stock limit, while the "Travelling Salesman" NPC will have a hotel-wide stock limit. 

Harry’s Shop (Welcome Lounge): Harry is offering 3 different kinds of Dyes – a new type of furni, with which you can re-colour certain types of furni (more on that later on...) However as of writing this article, one of the required items, the “Empty Jar”, is still unavailable in the game.:

Marcus’ Shop (Cinema): Marcus is offering several items from the Habbowood furni line:

Jim’s Shop (Power Gym): Jim is offering several items from the Sports furni line:

Laura’s Shop (Sun Terrace): Laura is offering the “Fruit Tree” furni:

Eric’s Shop (Eric’s Eaterie): Eric is offering several items from the Plasto furni line – in a new army green colour. Although as of writing this article, one of the required items, the “furni_dye_jar*4_desc”, is still unavailable in game.:

Dave’s Shop (Dirty Duck Pub): Dave is offering several items from the Cabin furni line: 

Dye Jars

A new type of furni customization has been introduced: Dyes! In the catalogue you will find a new section called 'Dye Jars', where you can purchase an 'Empty Jar' for 2 Credits:

This jar can, along with select furni items, be traded to Harry in the Welcome Lounge, who will ill it up with one of three colour dyes: Anniversary Sand, Anniversary Yellow or Anniversary Green. 

The full jar of dye can then be traded to another NPC (currently only to Eric in Eric's Eaterie) along with whatever item of standard Plasto furni you would want to dye - and voilà: your boring old piece of Plasto looks refreshingly new!

New dyes for other types of furni will be added later on, with varying ways of acquiring them. Macklebee tweets: "Some dyes will require fairly common ingredients, some might be purchasable in the catalogue, and others will require time-bound furniture (like anniversary mode)."

Noco: The Travelling Salesman NPC

Meet Noco! 

He's a quote "mysterious figure" carrying "rares from far off lands". He will appear on the first Wednesday of every month, roaming around the public rooms (he will stay in each for about 10 minutes at a time). When you find him, you can trade with him to obtain exclusive furni items. But you have to move quickly: Noco's stock is hotel-wide and very limited. BUT! If you missed out on your favorite furni - fret not; the items Noco offers can return to his shop in the following months.
