Origins Updates #1
In the past few days, several client updates have been released, introducing brand-new features to the game (some of which you may not even have noticed).
So without further ado, here's a brief rundown of everything that has been added so far:
I. Shortcut buttons
As seen in the picture below, four different shortcut buttons have been added next to the speech bar. The first button opens up the chat history window, and the second one a small menu for AltCode symbols - with the third and fourth being shortcuts for the pre-existing ":chooser" and ":furni" commands respectively.
The chat history window has undergone a complete makeover: the window is now transparent, allowing for a less overcrowded screen, the previous box often blocking out huge chunks of a room. Additionally, two small buttons have been added to the top left corner of the box; a downward pointing arrow that takes you to the bottom (the newest messages) of the window, and a small recycle bin button that clears the chat history.
Here's what the AltCode window looks like:
Clicking on one of the symbols will add it directly to your speech bar - no more having to memorize which numbers to press!
II. Navigator design
The Public Spaces section of the navigator has been updated as well, highlighting three main public rooms above the different room category sections. As it is, the Welcome Lounge, Theatredrome and Main Lobby are highlighted. It is uncertain whether or not other public rooms will be highlighted for certain events or in regular rotation in future.
III. Moving wall furni
It is now possible to move wall furni by holding in the alt-button, as well as picking up said items using ctrl-button.
Here's a quick demonstration:
IV. Viewable photos
After much anticipation, it is now possible to view your friend's photos again (and vice-versa). So far, this only applies to Habbo's on your friend list, but Macklebee has stated that he is working on a long-term solution to address viewing all photos in the hotel safely.
Pssst....
Bonus feature!
If you type in o/ in the speech bar and click enter, your Habbo now waves!
And that wraps up our rundown of new updates... for now. But stay tuned! By the looks of it, we can expect many more new and exciting features throughout this new year! We'd love to know your opinions on these new features - is there anything you would change or add to them? Tell us in the comments below!
