Dubby Reviews it! June 2026

Welcome all!

This month marked Habbo Origins' second anniversary, and compared with last year's celebrations, the difference has been significant. The event introduced a broader range of activities, new mechanics and more opportunities for players to get involved, making it one of the largest celebrations Origins has hosted to date.

As always, this review reflects my own views and experiences, while also taking into account the wider sentiment and discussions within the hotel community. The aim is to provide constructive feedback, highlighting what worked well, where there is room for improvement, and how future events could continue to build on this year's successes.

With that said, let's get into it.

Jubilee of Colour Campaign

This was exactly the kind of introduction I like to see. From the beginning of the month, players were given a clear overview of what to expect from the anniversary celebrations, helping to build anticipation and allowing everyone to understand what was coming over the weeks ahead.

One of the headline activities was The Great Present Hunt, where players gathered in public rooms every thirty minutes to grab a hammer and smash as many presents as possible within a five-minute window. The event provided a simple but engaging activity that encouraged players to return throughout the day, while also bringing the community together in busy public spaces.

The presents themselves contained a variety of rewards, including map fragments, Fishing and Gardening XP scrolls, Fishing and Gardening XP boosts, pet potions, and additional anniversary items. The reward pool offered a good mix of progression items and collectibles, ensuring there was something of value for players participating regularly.

Alongside The Great Present Hunt, Origins also introduced another Community Challenge, giving the hotel a collective objective to work towards while unlocking additional Stamp Bundles as milestone rewards. This helped maintain engagement beyond the individual activities and encouraged players to contribute towards a shared goal throughout the event.

One of the biggest improvements this year was how Origins addressed feedback from previous events, particularly the issues surrounding the Neopoint Bags. Rather than having players compete to click the same object, every present that appeared on your screen was exclusive to you. This removed the frustration of racing against bots or other players for rewards and made the activity feel much fairer and more enjoyable.

The anniversary map collection followed a similar philosophy. While players could still trade fragments with friends if they wished, it was entirely possible to complete the collection independently. Giving players the choice to trade, rather than making it a necessity, made progression feel much more relaxed and accessible.

Personally, I found this to be one of the strongest aspects of the event. It encouraged regular participation throughout the month without feeling repetitive or overly demanding and collecting each map fragment provided a satisfying sense of progression.

Completing the treasure map rewarded players with the exclusive '2' Balloon, a fitting collectible to commemorate Habbo Origins' second anniversary.

Popping the '2' Balloon then rewarded players with a Rare Furni Balloon, adding an extra layer of anticipation to completing the collection. It was a nice way to conclude the treasure hunt, with the final reward feeling worthwhile after collecting every fragment.

Overall, I found this to be one of the strongest anniversary activities Origins has delivered to date. It built on lessons learned from previous events, offered fairer mechanics, and provided consistent reasons to log in throughout the month. Compared with last year's anniversary, the overall quality, structure and player experience felt like a significant step forward.

Pride Month

It was encouraging to see Habbo Origins acknowledge Pride Month by introducing a dedicated Pride section within the Catalogue. The inclusion of rainbow furni and a variety of pride flags was a welcome addition, giving players the opportunity to express themselves and celebrate the month within the hotel.

Where I felt there was room for improvement, however, was in the accompanying communications. While the catalogue update was appreciated, there was no dedicated article or message recognising Pride Month itself or explaining its inclusion. As a result, for me, it felt more like an acknowledgement than a celebration.

I would have loved to see a short article highlighting Pride Month, what it represents, or simply wishing LGBTQ+ players a happy Pride. Even a small message would have added context and made the catalogue update feel like part of a wider celebration rather than simply a new range of items.

Hopefully this is something Origins can build on next year. The foundations are already there, and with a little more visibility through its communications, it could become a much more meaningful part of the annual calendar.

World Cup Fever arrives!

I'm yet to develop football fever, in all honesty!

When the World Cup furni was teased at the beginning of June, I expected it to arrive around the middle of the month, giving players plenty of time to enjoy it throughout the anniversary celebrations. Instead, it looks as though it will be releasing right at the end of the month.

There may well be valid reasons for the delay. If additional time was needed to ensure the furni met the expected quality, then I would much rather see it released in a polished state than rushed out. That said, from a player's perspective, the timing does make it feel somewhat disconnected from the rest of the month's content.

Despite having very little interest in football myself, I actually like the look of the range. The theme has plenty of potential, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it's received once it finally arrives.

Community Challenge

More of this, please!

Community Challenges continue to be one of the simplest yet most effective ways of keeping players engaged. They provide the entire hotel with a shared objective, encourage regular participation, and give everyone something to work towards, regardless of how much time they have to play.

One thing I've particularly liked is that we've started seeing these more regularly over recent months. I would love for that trend to continue, with Community Challenges becoming a staple of each month's content. They don't need to be overly complex to be successful, sometimes the simplest ideas are the ones that bring the community together the most.

For me, this is content worth continuing to invest in. There is clearly a player base that enjoys working towards shared goals, and I think Community Challenges have proven themselves to be a valuable addition to the monthly content calendar.

Articles

At the time of writing, Habbo Origins has published 16 articles throughout the month. Given the volume of content released during the anniversary celebrations, I did find that number a little lower than I had expected. A proportion of those articles were also dedicated to recurring features such as Rares and Funky Friday releases, which count as content, but they naturally leave less room for coverage of the wider anniversary activities.

One thing I also noticed was the lack of dedicated promotional artwork for a number of this month's releases. While this is something I've always enjoyed seeing, I can appreciate that Origins recently lost a member of staff who played a significant role in producing these types of articles and promotional assets.

Taking that into account, I'm happy to give this a pass for this month. Hopefully, as the team settles, we'll see a return to more regular event coverage and bespoke promotional articles, as they add a lot of personality and help build excitement around new content.

Jubilee Collectors track!

This was not something I expected to see, but it turned out to be one of the most welcome additions to the anniversary celebrations and, from what I observed, was very well received by the community.

The Collector's Track provided players with a structured way to earn exclusive rewards simply by taking part in the anniversary activities. The inclusion of guaranteed milestone rewards gave players clear progression throughout the month, while the fact that the track remained entirely optional made it feel fair and accessible.

Players who chose not to purchase the 150 Credit track could still work towards many of the same rewards by popping anniversary balloons to collect Air Bottles and Balloon Pieces, which could then be exchanged with Harry. Meanwhile, those who purchased the Collector's Track progressed naturally by completing event objectives, creating a rewarding experience without feeling overly grindy.

The rewards themselves were another highlight, with items such as Throne Balloons, Holos and Amber Lamps providing worthwhile incentives to keep progressing.

For me, this is exactly the kind of optional premium content Origins should continue to explore. It added value for those who wanted to invest in it, while ensuring that players who preferred not to spend Credits could still participate and earn rewards through gameplay. That balance is something Origins got absolutely right.

Overall, I think Origins struck a strong balance between rewarding active participation and preserving player choice. The Collector's Track added an extra layer of engagement to the anniversary celebrations without making players feel as though they had to purchase it in order to enjoy the event.

If this month's reception is anything to go by, I would be surprised if this is the last we see of the Collector's Track. It feels like a feature with plenty of potential, and one that could become a regular part of larger Origins events in the future.

Building competition

Regular readers will know that I always advocate for two competitions each month. This time around we received one, which is certainly better than none. Given just how much anniversary content was available throughout June, I think one competition felt about right, as players already had plenty to keep them occupied.

Where I was less convinced was the brief itself. Personally, I found it quite difficult to understand exactly what was being asked of builders. That may have been an intentional decision to encourage creativity and allow for broader interpretation, but for me it lacked a clear direction. I generally prefer building competitions with a more defined theme or objective.

That said, this is very much a personal preference rather than a criticism of the competition itself. It's great to see building competitions continue to feature in Origins' monthly content, and I hope they remain a regular fixture going forward.

One final positive, the promotional artwork for this competition was excellent. It's a small detail but I really liked it!

Community Day!

This was one of my favourite parts of the month and, honestly, just a lot of fun from start to finish.

My understanding is that Wilf was instrumental in bringing the day together, with streamers and fansites all playing a part in the celebrations. What I particularly liked was that this wasn't simply an official event centred around the Events Creators.  Instead, it recognised a much wider group of people who regularly create content for the Habbo Origins community.

Fansites don't always receive a great deal of attention, so it was genuinely nice to see them included alongside content creators and streamers. The event also introduced me to several streamers I hadn't watched before, and I found myself checking in throughout the day to see what everyone was doing. In that sense, it succeeded in bringing different parts of the community together rather than keeping everything within the hotel itself.

Throughout the event, prizes were distributed by both FranklyOrigins and Bobba.me, while participating streamers gave away Sub Balloons every hour alongside a variety of other prizes. There always seemed to be something happening, which helped maintain excitement across the day.

Players who logged in during the 24-hour celebration also received a commemorative Community Day badge. It was a simple reward, but a nice keepsake that fit perfectly with the anniversary celebrations.

I'd love to see this become a regular feature of future anniversaries. It showcased the wider Origins community, highlighted the work of content creators, and created an atmosphere that felt genuinely collaborative.

Overall, I think this was a fantastic addition to the anniversary celebrations. It highlighted the wider Habbo Origins community, shone a spotlight on content creators and fansites, and created a genuinely enjoyable day for players both in and outside of the hotel.

A huge well done to Wilf for helping bring the event together, and to everyone who participated and contributed throughout the day. It was a great example of what can be achieved when different parts of the community come together, and I'd be delighted to see it return in future.

New Horizon dropped!

This was a lovely release and a nice surprise during the month. As far as I can recall, it's the first Horizon to feature an interior setting rather than an outdoor scene, which immediately helped it stand out from previous releases.

The design itself works really well, and while it isn't my personal favourite Horizon, I completely understand why it has been so well received by the community. It's certainly one of the stronger Horizon releases we've seen so far.

The only thing it did was leave me wanting more! The setting makes me wish we could eventually see furniture inspired by the same aesthetic. I suspect we're unlikely to ever receive the original Hallway furniture that matches it perfectly, but I'd love to see a future furniture line that captures a similar colour palette and style. I think it would pair beautifully with this Horizon and open up even more creative room designs.

Pet crocodiles land on the hotel!

Honestly... it's about time! These have been requested by players for a long time, so it's great to finally see them make their way into the hotel. They're a fun addition to the pet lineup and another example of Origins continuing to expand classic content.

Now all we need are Croc Potions to go with them!

The only downside at the time of writing is a bug affecting the pets' appearance. Regardless of which colour crocodile is purchased, they currently appear as green. Hopefully this is something that can be resolved soon so players can enjoy the full range of colours as intended.

Aside from that issue, this was a welcome release and one I'm sure many long-time players were pleased to finally see.

New player anniversary Infostands & Nameplates

This was a nice little reward for players reaching their account anniversary. Receiving a new Infostand is a thoughtful way to recognise player milestones, and it's the sort of cosmetic reward that feels personal without impacting gameplay.

The design itself is one I really like. It has a strong Greek aesthetic, which only fuels my hope that the Greek furniture line might not be too far away.

If I had one piece of feedback, it would be around future anniversary rewards. While updating last year's Infostand is a nice touch, I hope this doesn't become the standard approach every year. If each anniversary simply introduces a revised version of the previous reward, some of the excitement and anticipation could wear off over time.

I'd love to see future account anniversary rewards take on completely new themes or designs, giving players something unique to look forward to each year while still celebrating their longevity within Origins.

Alongside the anniversary content, we also saw the release of additional nameplates, all fitting nicely with the month's celebratory theme.

I'm really pleased to see this feature hasn't been forgotten. Nameplates may seem like a small cosmetic addition, but they add a huge amount of personality to the hotel. They give players another way to express themselves, personalise their profiles and showcase a little individuality beyond badges and clothing.

I'd love to see Origins continue expanding the collection. They're a simple feature that adds long-term value, and each new release gives players another reason to customise their identity within the hotel.

Noco Arrives!

As seems to be tradition at this point, it's time for my monthly thoughts on Noco.

Truthfully, I don't have a great deal to add this month. I can absolutely see the value that Noco brings by helping to obtain sought-after furniture, and I even made use of his service myself last month. Clearly, there is an audience that enjoys it and benefits from it.

It's just not a feature that particularly excites me on a personal level. That's less a criticism of Noco itself and more a reflection of my own interests within Origins. For players looking to obtain the rares he brings, it continues to serve a worthwhile purpose within the hotel economy.

Rares released in June

Jubilee Fans – Released 02/06/2026

Not a lover of a fan really, it fitted with the campaign but for me, meh I don’t really care. Could have been three different sleeping bags bad though.

Rainbow Parasol – Released 09/06/2026

Now I do like a parasol in all seriousness! Again, on theme with the month. However, no promo image for it – womp womp.

Red Jubilee Piano – Released 26/06/2026

Adorable. Totally adorable. It’s like a re-take on the typewriter but completely its own thing.

Bubblegum ICM – Released 23/06/2026

Lovely colour and what I do know is that, ICM’s seem to be chased after by a good part of the community.

Pending rare release on 30/06/2026 (Article to be updated)

Funky Fridays throughout June

Green Heart Sofa & Love Heart – Released 05/06/2026

Absolutely rotten colour personally but whatever.  No promo image.

Anniversary II trophies – Released 12/06/2026

Makes sense to do this, not a fan of trophies being a Funky Friday but it doesn’t upset me. No promo image.

Retired Whack-O-Matic – Released 19/06/2026

I loved this one, don’t know where it fits in any of my rooms mind you. Also, the fact that the Whack-O-Matic was such a significant part of the month… and NO PROMO IMAGE.

Pending – Released 26/06/2026 (Article to be updated)

Event Creators

As with previous months, I never find myself with a huge amount to say about the Events Creators. They're a dedicated group of volunteers who consistently host activities week after week, providing players with free-to-play content that helps keep the hotel active and engaging.

Looking ahead, though, I do think we're approaching the point where Season 2 should be introduced. A fresh season would give players renewed goals to work towards, whether that's earning tokens, unlocking new Infostands, Nameplates or progressing through a new set of rewards, six months feels a good amount of time to be within S1.

Conclusion

When I look back on June as a whole, I think Habbo Origins has delivered one of its strongest months since launch. The second anniversary celebrations felt well planned, there was a constant stream of things to do, and most importantly, I found myself logging in because I wanted to, rather than because I felt I had to.

The biggest success for me was that Origins clearly learned from previous events. Activities such as The Great Present Hunt and the Collector’s Track respected players’ time removed unnecessary frustration and gave everyone meaningful progression throughout the month. Community Day was another standout, recognising the wider Origins community and highlighting the people who continue to create content outside of the game itself.

There are still areas I'd like to see improved. I'd love more event articles and promotional artwork, clearer building competition briefs, and a stronger celebration of occasions such as Pride through Origins' communications. These aren't major issues, but they're the sort of refinements that elevate a good month into a truly exceptional one.

One final observation is the month's promotional artwork. It teased several pieces of content such as the new HC furniture line, the Iced furniture range and Toby, at the time of writing, haven't yet formed part of June's content. The HC range now looks likely to arrive in August, Toby is still yet to become active, and while I personally won't be shedding any tears over the Iced coloured furniture being delayed or released at all (it's never really been a favourite of mine!), it did leave the promotional image feeling slightly ahead of what was actually delivered during the month.

Overall, though, this anniversary has been a huge improvement over last year. It felt rewarding, engaging and community focused, and if this is the standard Origins is aiming for going forward, then I'm excited to see what the months ahead bring.

Overall Score

8.8 / 10

A fantastic anniversary month that learned from the past, kept players engaged throughout, and delivered one of the strongest content updates Origins has seen to date. Leave your comments below about what you thought of the month!

*Note, the score is subject to change as there are still days remaining in June. However as it stands from today 26/06/2026. This feels fair.
