Habbo Origins New Year's Resolutions 2025

New Year’s Eve is almost upon us, bringing a close to an eventful 2024.

One of those key events (at least for us Habbo-fanatics…) was the launch of Habbo Hotel: Origins on June 18th. After many years of waiting, Sulake finally released a classic version of the game that holds such a special place in our collective nostalgia. As soon as the hotel opened its doors, thousands of visitors poured in, eager to experience that childhood rush: lido diving, building rooms, playing games and meeting new friends - some of us even being so lucky as to meet some of our old acquaintances from back when. 

Since that glorious launch, we've seen the (re)-introduction of BattleBall, Trax, the Hobba program, various rares and furni lines and so, so much more. While this may seem like it could keep a Habbo happy, the wider opinion, expressed around the hotel and on various social media platforms, is that there are still many areas in which the game could be improved. 

Resolutions for 2025

To try and get the pulse of the Origins community at large about their favourite Origins moments in 2024, as well as their hopes for the game in the coming year, I sent out a couple of questions in the Origins Discord server - here's what the Habbos had to say:

Speedy says: "My favourite moment was when the hotel opened and I was able to meet, and reunite, with so many folks that I still speak to today. My resolution for 2025 is to try to expand our user base by trying to keep more players engaged and interested in our community"

Hannes says: "My favourite moment was when the first official competition was held, Habbo Sports! It was so nostalgic! For 2025, I hope that we get more interactive games held by Habbo Staff, so the game won't have to rely on users spending their coins, time and energy on hosting"

Dovak says: "I must say, my favourite moment from 2024 is more a collection of experiences, I can't choose just 1! The teleport maze events that we have hosted have been a massive success within the Origins community, and I absolutely loved organizing the building competitions and Build Wars recently! In 2025, I want to create even more enjoyable experiences for Habbos and host even more competitions and events. I'm incredibly grateful for the support from the community, and I can't wait to make the new year an unforgettable one! And also, a HUGE thanks to Dave aka Macklebee!"

Orthix says: "My favourite moments have been the Funky Friday releases. The different colours and reworked originals have been amazing. In the next year, I'd love to see Origins continue to grow and improve, especially in terms of numbers of users (as well as those of Thrones and Samovars)!"

G30 says: "My favourite moment has been meeting my small group of friends. Being a part of a community has been amazing and has helped me with my mental health - just being able to speak to people without judgement or fear has felt incredible. In 2025, I'd like to see Habbo Staff putting as much effort into events as players like Dovak, Jordid, BobBarker, Oh!, Spidercides, Matthew and many others. We want to know they give a *bobba* about us!"

We can only hope that all of their wishes, as well as yours, dear reader, will come true. What we can say for certain, is that there are many exciting features in the works already. To name but a few:

• The ability to follow your friends to their rooms has been added and is to be further developed.

• Chat history has implemented (using the command :history)

• SnowStorm is slated for release sometime during the winter.

• According to Macklebee, Sulake is hiring for a live-ops role, to help with the hosting of events, although he couldn't commit to a timeline.

It looks like 2025 is gonna be quite an exciting year to be a Habbo, so stay tuned! And from everyone here at Bobba.me, we wish you a Happy New Year!
